AUP Enforcement Procedure

NetEase enforces its Acceptable Use Policies in the manner detailed below. For more details about these policies and the procedure for filing a formal letter of complaint, please see the NetEase Policy Enforcement Page.

Prohibited Uses of Email

Upon the first verifiable violation of one of these policies NetEase will issue a written warning to the customer.

Upon the second verifiable violation of one of these policies NetEase will suspend the customer's service. Before service may be re-instated the customer must submit to NetEase, in writing, an agreement to cease-and-desist.

Upon the third verifiable violation of one of these policies NetEase will terminate the customer's service permanently.

Users whose accounts are terminated for network abuse will also be responsible for the cost of labor to cleanup and respond to complaints incurred by NetEase.

Other Prohibited Uses

NetEase will generally follow a procedure of issuing a written warning after the first violation, suspending service until a written agreement of cease-and-desist is received after the second violation, and terminating service after the third violation.

NetEase reserves the right to suspend or terminate a customer's service for violation of any of its acceptable use policies at any time, if NetEase deems it necessary.

Reports of activity in violation of this policy may be sent in e-mail to abuse@NetEase.net.

Further details about NetEase policies can be found on the NetEase Service Agreement Page.
